What to Expect:

As the Executive Pastor of Operations, you will oversee various aspects of the church's operations and administration. You will play a crucial role in helping the church to operate efficiently, grow strategically, and fulfill its mission effectively. You will be an integral part of a three-person Executive Lead Team dedicated to providing guidance, oversight, and spiritual care to our church community. Together, this team operates through shared leadership, mutual accountability, and unity of purpose in shepherding and caring for our community. You can expect to work collaboratively with the team to nurture and grow Connect City Knoxville into a vibrant hub of spiritual growth and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadership and oversight to ensure the smooth functioning of church activities and programs.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Lead Team to develop and implement strategies for the growth and development of the church, community engagement, spiritual growth, and outreach initiatives, including setting goals, creating budgets, and evaluating progress.
  • Cultivate a culture of inclusivity, authenticity, and belonging within the church community.
  • Provide leadership and support to the volunteer staff, including identifying, developing, and evaluating leaders, as well as fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Lead and support leaders and volunteers in their respective roles, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among different ministry departments, staff members, and church leaders to ensure alignment and collaboration towards common goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in alignment with the church's mission and values.

Qualifications:

* A devoted Christian with a passion for fostering spiritual growth and community development.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a church or ministry setting, with a track record of operational excellence and team collaboration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, problem-solve effectively, and implement innovative solutions.
  • A degree in ministry, business administration, or ministry leadership experience is a plus.

Please note that this position is currently a volunteer staff role. As Connect City Knoxville grows, there is potential for future paid staff positions to be added to support the ministry's expansion and impact.
