What to Expect:

As the Executive Pastor of Outreach, you will focus primarily on developing and implementing strategies to reach out to the local community, engage with people outside the church, and serve the needs of the community in alignment with the church's mission and values. You will play a crucial role in leading the church's efforts to engage with the community, share the love of Christ, and make a positive impact in the world through various outreach initiatives and programs.

You will collaborate closely with other members of the Executive Lead Team to provide guidance, oversight, and spiritual care to our church community. Together, this team operates through shared leadership, mutual accountability, and unity of purpose in shepherding and caring for our community. You can expect to work with the team to nurture and grow Connect City Knoxville into a vibrant hub of spiritual growth and community engagement. Your role will be instrumental in helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds deepen their understanding of faith and grow in their relationship with God.

Responsibilities:

- Lead evangelism efforts to reach those outside the church and disciple new believers, as well as equipping church members to engage in evangelism and discipleship activities.

- Collaborate with the Executive Lead Team to develop and implement strategies for the growth and development of the church, community engagement, spiritual growth, and outreach initiatives.

- Shepherd, mentor, and disciple individuals within the church community, fostering spiritual growth and personal development.

- Collaborate with other ministries, non-profit organizations, and community groups to maximize the impact of outreach efforts and address issues affecting the community.

- Provide training and resources to outreach team members to engage in outreach activities effectively and compassionately.

- Develop communication strategies to promote outreach events and programs, raise awareness about community needs, and engage with the broader community through social media, marketing materials, and other channels.

- Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, individuals and families.

Qualifications:

- A deep commitment to the Christian faith and a passion for teaching and communicating The Word of God effectively.

- A call to leading in a church or ministry setting, with a gift for inspiring and engaging audiences of diverse backgrounds.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and disciple individuals towards spiritual growth and maturity.

- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a strategic mindset for planning and implementing outreach initiatives.

- Ability to plan and execute church events with attention to detail.

- Proficient in Christian counseling, bereavement support, and crisis management.

- A degree in theology, ministry, or Biblical training is a plus.

As Connect City Knoxville grows, there is potential for future paid staff positions to be added to support the ministry's expansion and impact.
