We are building a new church in Knoxville, TN and we are starting by building our pastoral team. At Connect City Knoxville, we are dedicated to connecting people with faith, community, and purpose. We are building a diverse community for people who are seeking to deepen their relationship with God in a supportive and welcoming environment. What to Expect:
As the Executive Teaching Pastor, you will play a key role in leading and shaping the spiritual growth of our community through engaging and impactful teaching of The Word of God. You will collaborate closely with other members of the Executive Lead Team to develop and implement strategies for effective teaching, discipleship, and community building. Your role will be instrumental in helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds deepen their understanding of faith and grow in their relationship with God.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dynamic and engaging teachings of The Word of God during worship meetings, group devotions and special events.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Lead Team to develop and implement a comprehensive teaching and discipleship plan that aligns with the church's mission, values, and beliefs.
  • Shepherd, mentor, and disciple individuals within the church community, fostering spiritual growth and personal development.
  • Lead and support a team of volunteer teachers and small group leaders, providing guidance and resources to enhance their ministry effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of creative and innovative teaching materials and resources to support the spiritual growth of the community.

Qualifications:

  • A deep commitment to the Christian faith and a passion for teaching and communicating The Word of God effectively.
  • A calling to preaching and teaching in a church or ministry setting, with a gift for inspiring and engaging audiences of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and disciple individuals towards spiritual growth and maturity.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a strategic mindset for planning and implementing teaching initiatives.
  • Ability to plan and execute church events with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Christian counseling, bereavement support, and crisis management.
  • A degree in theology, ministry, or Biblical training is a plus.

As Connect City Knoxville grows, there is potential for future paid staff positions to be added to support the ministry's expansion and impact.
