Lay Elder at Connect City Knoxville Are you a dedicated and spiritually mature individual with a heart for shepherding, mentoring, and serving the local church community? Are you passionate about fostering spiritual growth, building relationships, and providing guidance to help individuals deepen their faith journey? Connect City Knoxville is seeking individuals to serve as Lay Elders within our church community. About Us: Connect City Knoxville is building a vibrant church community dedicated to connecting people with faith, community, and purpose. We welcome individuals from all walks of life who seek to grow closer to God in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our community values authentic connections, spiritual growth, and impactful service to others. Role Overview: As a Lay Elder at Connect City Knoxville, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual leadership, guidance, and support to members of the church community. You will work collaboratively with other Lay Elders, pastoral staff, and volunteers to foster a culture of care, accountability, and discipleship within the church. Your role will involve praying for, encouraging, and walking alongside individuals to help them grow in their faith and relationship with God. Responsibilities: - Provide pastoral care, support, and guidance to individuals in the church community. - Participate in prayer, worship, and study of The Word of God to deepen personal spiritual growth. - Serve as a mentor and spiritual leader to individuals seeking guidance and discipleship. - Collaborate with other Lay Elders and pastoral staff to address the spiritual needs of the church community. - Support and participate in church events, programs, and initiatives that promote spiritual growth and community engagement. Qualifications: - A genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a life of faith, prayer, and service. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships and provide compassionate care. - A willingness to listen, empathize, and support individuals in various stages of their faith journey. - Commitment to working collaboratively with a team of Lay Elders and church leaders to support the spiritual health of the community. - Previous experience in pastoral care, discipleship, or leadership within a church setting is preferred but not required. If you have a heart for shepherding and serving others, a desire to help individuals grow in their faith, and would like to help build this new church community, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining us as a Lay Elder at Connect City Knoxville.
