Join us in making a meaningful impact on our community! LEAP is hosting a food distribution event at IV Elementary School and we need your help. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the success of this event.
Date & Time: June 20th, 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up the distribution area
- Assisting in bagging food items for clients
- Cleaning up the area during and after distribution
- Breaking down boxes
No special skills are required, just a willingness to lend a hand and make a difference! Bilingual in Spanish would be a bonus, but it is not required. Only volunteers aged 14 and up will be considered due to safety regulations. Your support will directly contribute to providing essential resources to those in need within our community. Description
We were born out of the chaos of the early 1970s in Isla Vista. In the wake of riots and the burning of the Bank of America, the children and families who lived in Isla Vista needed support, strength and resilience. We now proudly support and nurture families across all of Santa Barbara County.
Our primary goal is to provide essential support and resources to families in our community. Our monthly free food distributions are where we need the most help. Each month, we distribute fresh produce and food to our community members in the form of a drive-up distribution. We proudly provide food to nearly 200 families each month, and our impact continues to grow.Join us in making a difference! As a volunteer, you'll contribute to our ongoing efforts to nurture families, support children, and build a stronger, more resilient community.
