Recruiting Organization: Sprouts Chef Training

Serving as a Culinary Events Volunteer is a great way to commit to a long-term position with Sprouts Chef Training! Contribute to your community in a meaningful way, see the inner workings of an impact-forward nonprofit, and meet culinary celebrities who shape SF’s food scene.

Support Sprouts’ event team for 5 - 10 hours per week now through October 2024.

- Ambassadors are encouraged to volunteer day-of at our fundraising and awareness events, which will take place in San Francisco, CA in September and October, in order to experience the results of your hard work, but it is not required.

- Ambassadors can support in the following areas leading up to the events:

• Auctions - solicit companies to donate hotel stays, experiences, goods, etc., and curate auction packages that will be sold at Sprouts’ Fundraising Event Auction
• In-kind Sponsorships - solicit companies to donate ingredients for chefs and bars to use in menu curation
• General event planning

We equip youth and young adults in the Bay Area and in New York City to rise from hardship through paid restaurant training and job placement. Youth are paired with chef mentors and case managers to develop the skills needed to secure and maintain a culinary job. Since 2012, dozens of youth have used their skills to begin full time careers in the culinary industry, access new professions, or pay for higher education.
