Braven is a career-accelerating experience that prepares promising young people--many of whom are people of color, from low income backgrounds, and the first in their families to attend college--to secure a strong first opportunity after college graduation.

We work with higher education and employer partners to offer a life-changing experience that begins with a semester-long course for college students followed by support that lasts through graduation.

Together, we are helping to open up access to the American Promise, empowering a generation of leaders who mirror the demographics of our country.

Our Leadership Coaches facilitate our transformational Accelerator Course.

Their efforts are at the core of our work with Fellows. This is Braven's most in-demand and high-impact program.

As a Leadership Coach, you'll lead sessions with 5-8 promising college students each week. With Braven's curriculum, support, and tools at your disposal, you'll help them make their first steps into the professional world. At the same time, you'll get dynamic practice leading diverse teams.

Volunteer as a Leadership Coach to refine your leadership skills through exposure to different perspectives and experiences from a diverse cohort of students,

The experience will also allow you to strengthen other professional skills that include: communication, interpersonal, coaching, facilitating and providing constructive feedback while also expanding your network of mission-driven professionals.

You will positively impact and prepare the next generation of leaders by empowering students from underserved backgrounds and supporting their entry into the workforce: contributing to a diverse, resilient and confident workforce.

By volunteering you will also enrich your life through the rewarding experience of giving back that offers the opportunity for personal growth and fulfillment.

DURATION: 10 weeks (+ 3 optional weeks)

DATES: Jan - May or Aug - Dec

COMMITMENT: 3 hours per week

FORMAT: Virtual with 3 optional, high-impact events in-person in select cities (New York, Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, San Jose, San Fransisco )
