Would you describe yourself as a friendly and outgoing individual? If so, we have a volunteer opportunity that's perfect for you! The Jules and Doris Stein UCLA Support Group Ambassador Concierge program seeks volunteers to provide exceptional patient service to UCLA Stein Eye Institute.
Your role would be to greet patients with a warm smile and answer any questions they may have. You may also be asked to escort patients to their clinic appointments or other UCLA Health clinics, particularly those who are vision impaired and require a wheelchair.
As a volunteer, you'll work alongside a staff member at the front desk. We kindly request that you commit to a minimum of 8 monthly hours for 4 to 6 months. Scheduling is flexible, with morning shifts from 8 a.m. to noon and afternoon shifts from noon to 3 p.m. As a thank you, we'll cover parking for non-students.
This is an incredible opportunity to positively impact someone's life. Apply today to become a UCLA Support Group Ambassador Concierge volunteer!
We are accepting volunteer applications from May 28th to the 31st only.

Mission Statement
UCLA Stein Eye Institute is a vision-science campus dedicated to the preservation and restoration of vision through its global programs and innovative research, quality patient care, and multidisciplinary, integrative education, all with community outreach.
Description
The UCLA Stein Eye Institute’s Center for Community Outreach and Policy, under the direction of Dr. Anne L. Coleman, is dedicated to the principle that all individuals deserve the best vision attainable. Building upon the Institute’s long tradition of community service and leadership at the interface of ophthalmology and public health, the Center conducts vital research in public-health ophthalmology through the UCLA Center for Eye Epidemiology. It provides high-impact community-based services, such as the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic. The Preschool Vision Screenings and Vision In-School programs of the Center are generously underwritten by the Jules and Doris Stein UCLA Support Group.
