Homebound Meal Driver for Seniors needed, Back-up drivers needed for occasional support

Deliver a hot meal and a warm greeting to homebound seniors one morning a week. Mileage is reimbursed and training is provided. Most routes take around 1.5 hours and volunteers usually leave at about 9:15 from 17400 Victory Blvd., Van Nuys CA 91406.

We are currently in need of back-up drivers that can assist when regular drivers will be out. We would know in advance that a driver will be on vacation or will be out for a few weeks. For instance we could call a back-up driver and let them know that we need assistance for the next three Wednesdays, and if you can help with one or two of those days then that would be great!

Bringing someone a meal and being the only person that they might see that day is a very valuable experience. Our seniors are truly grateful for the meal and your time. Background check and TB test required for this position. ONEgeneration will provide the background check. This is a great volunteer position to do with a friend or family member.
Valid license and insurance required.
