In this role you will:
- Attend programming and events and take photo and video, create stories, and curate posts for The Ability Center's (TAC) Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
- Interview program attendees
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
- Interview program attendees and community members
- Contribute to weekly and monthly marketing goals and assignments
- Use your creativity to curate content for blogs, infographics, TAC's website, and social media
- Support marketing team at live events and programming
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
- Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
- Write social media captions and/or blog posts
- Help create and edit short-form videos
- Develop and contribute to new strategies for increasing engagement
- Assist with photo/video content shoots
- Upload videos for the TAC team to use in marketing materials
If you are interested in this role we can work out a schedule that works for you. Ideally you would be available to attend one event/program per week. The commitment would be about 1-3 hours depending on where you live, your skill level, and the assignment.
Skills that will help you be successful:
- Familiarity with social media apps and platforms
- Proficient in using in Google Drive and/or Dropbox
- Clear communication with TAC team members
- Energetic and extroverted personality
- Able to follow through with directions and stay on schedule with little supervision
This is a great role for a high school or college student (or recent grad!) looking to gain experience and volunteer for a great cause! This is a unique volunteer position where you can bring your creative ideas to life!
