Energetic volunteers are needed to assist in Karate classes for blind and visually impaired adults. Duties include helping to set up mats, assisting students in following instructor's directions, help create a safe and supportive learning environment.
No Karate experience needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Training will be provided in how to assist people who are blind and visually impaired.
Classes meet each Wednesday - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
