We need volunteers to help job seekers with resume construction and How to Land a Job coaching at our Job Lab on the day prior to our monthly job fairs. On these days we invite job seekers to come to our Job Lab to create or update resumes, print copies, and generally prepare themselves for employer interaction.
Our Job Lab is open from 10:30 - 1 pm on two Wednesdays each month; the second Wednesday and the last Wednesday.
As a volunteer, your responsibility will be to assist job seekers with their resumes and prepare them for success the next day. In exchange for your assistance, a box lunch will be provided.

We Make RI is a 501 (c)(3) organization, dedicated to helping unemployed and underemployed Rhode Islanders start on the right path in a manufacturing career. Our goal is to train and place Rhode Islanders in a job with a good wage, solid benefits, and strong career growth.
Description
Since 2017 We Make RI has offered rolling admissions to our free job training program. In our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, students work on real jobs for real customers. When they leave our training program, students are confident they have the skills they need to get hired and employers are confident they have hired the right employees. We hold 2 open job fairs every month. One is for any employer in RI and the other is only for manufacturers. These are open to the public, and we have heavy traffic. On the day prior to the job fairs we host a seminar to brush up resumes and employability ski8lls as well as reviewing the employers who will be in attendance.
