Join the Empowering Youth Mentor Program and make a difference in the lives of Kitsap County youth ages 8-21! Our program connects caring mentors with youth in need of guidance and support. As a mentor, you'll have the chance to inspire, encourage, and empower a young person as they navigate life's challenges and pursue their goals. No previous mentoring experience required - just a genuine desire to make a positive impact!

Mission Statement
The mission of the Empowering Youth Mentor Program is to empower at-risk youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal potential.
Description
After running a mentor program for youth on community supervision in the juvenile justice system, that ended after serving for 17 years, I started the Empowering Youth Mentor Program (EYMP). EYMP is a community-based, one-to-one program that works with youth in Kitsap County. The majority of youth served have experienced significant trauma. Mentors who work with EYMP are trained to be trauma-informed and responsive.
