Our Food Rescue Ministry is in need of one volunteer to pick up rescue food, in their personal vehicle, from one restaurant in Coon Rapids and bring it back to our Spring Lake Park location and put it in the fridge.

We will provide cooler bags.
Ability to lift about 30 lbs is needed (or you can separate the food in more bags to make it easier to carry).

1 Shift

  • 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST
    times may vary slightly, you call the restaurant ahead of time to confirm pick up time, but it's around 10 AM every week

Description

Manna Market is a faith based food recovery program. This free food distribution service provides groceries to those in need in the local Minneapolis community.

Manna Market partners with Anoka County, Second Harvest Heartland, local stores and other key players. Together, this partnership allows Manna Market to recover food and prevent it from being wasted. These recovered items provide free food for anyone who needs free groceries in the Twin Cities area.
