Early Childhood Teacher Corps (ECTC) Member will provide targeted literacy, language, and math activities for children ages 0-4 enrolled in the early childhood program as well as support all facets of child learning and development to lead teachers within their assigned classroom placements. During the program, members will receive a bi-weekly living allowance for their service , complete their CDA training, receive support for ongoing job placement in an early childhood classroom, and provide quality teacher-child interactions for children served.
The ECTC Member will also assist the lead teacher in all aspects of the children's daily care and education routines. This includes providing assistance with supervision, management, and guidance of a classroom of children, as well as preparation for daily activities. The ECTC Teachers Assistant reports to the Host Site Supervisor.

Description
The Early Childhood Teacher Corps (ECTC) is a n AmeriCorps State program designed to support school-readiness of vulnerable children while offering a pipeline into the early education profession for AmeriCorps members. Partnering with early care and education programs, the Early Childhood Teacher Corps will place AmeriCorps members in early childhood classrooms to carry out the program mission.
