Intake Volunteers Needed at Justice & Diversity’s Legal Advice and Referral Clinics this summer!
DATES:
Saturday, JUNE 15TH
SATURDAY, JULY 20th
Sign up for one clinic or all of them! TO SIGN UP, email probono@sfbar.org and let us know you are interested in volunteering.
Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. and is mandatory. We will walk you through the intake process and what questions to ask.
We will begin to accept clients at 9:30 am and end intakes at 11:30 am. Intake Volunteers meet with clients to determine their legal issues at our walk-in clinics and work with supervising attorneys to place clients with experienced attorneys for consultations and referrals. Intake Volunteers also work as Greeters, help provide referrals, and connect waiting clients with the volunteer assigned to their intake.
Volunteers will be assigned a specific role for the entirety of the clinic.

Description
The Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC) provides pro bono legal and related social services to low-income and homeless San Francisco residents and to nonprofit organizations that serve these communities. We provide these services primarily through the use of volunteer attorneys and non-attorneys. JDC takes a holistic approach to legal services, seeking to address the full range of legal and social services issues that prevent our clients from retaining stability in their lives.
