Volunteer Website Manager - Talented Girls in Action (TGIA)Position Overview:
Talented Girls in Action (TGIA) is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Website Manager to maintain and enhance our online presence. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting nonprofit organizations and skilled in website management. The Website Manager will ensure that our website remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with TGIA’s mission to empower young girls through education, mentorship, and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:- Update and maintain website content, including program information, event announcements, and blog posts.
- Ensure the website is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and fully functional.
- Optimize website performance, including loading speed and mobile responsiveness.
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, coordinating with hosting services if needed.
- Implement basic SEO strategies to improve search engine visibility.
- Collaborate with the TGIA team to ensure website content aligns with organizational goals.
- Track website analytics and provide insights on user engagement.
- Experience with website management platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or website design principles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to update content efficiently.
- Understanding of SEO best practices is a bonus.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team.
- Passion for supporting nonprofit initiatives and empowering young girls.
- Flexible hours, approximately 5-10 hours per month (can vary based on updates and projects).
- Remote position with occasional virtual check-ins.

Talented Girls In Action is a 501(c) nonprofit organization that exist to advance the next generation of young girls to operate at a standard of excellence in every aspect of their lives, by unlocking their unique potential as well as forming a life long passion for education. TGIA will incorporate discipline, integrity and acts of service into the curriculum to assist girls as they matriculate into the next chapter of their lives.
Description
Talented Girls In Action is an after school program that exist to advance the next generation of young girls through a multifaceted curriculum, mentor-ship, individualized tutoring and enrichment opportunities.
We serve girls from the ages of 12 to 18 that come from disadvantage backgrounds. Our main initiative to encourage girls to come into confident possession of their own unique talents by transforming their underprivileged mindset and providing a new outlook into their academic future.
Many young girls are dealing with very challenging socio-economic issues that inhibit them from finding positive outlets for their time and energy.
Through TGIA young girls will be able to discuss their problems in a safe and nurturing environment where viable solution are provided for them to pursue. All the while developing a positive outlook for their futures and their self image.
