The Second Chair for Community Engagement role is to support the first chair in leading the organization's efforts to engage with and serve the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the identification and cultivation of partnerships with key stakeholders within the community, including local organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to raise awareness of the organization's mission, programs, and services among community members.
• Providing assistance in planning and coordinating community events, workshops, and activities aimed at fostering dialogue, building relationships, and addressing community needs.
• Assisting in the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers to support community engagement activities and initiatives.
• Contributing to efforts to ensure that the organization's programs and services are culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
• Supporting advocacy efforts on behalf of the community and assisting in empowering community members to participate in decision-making processes.
• Assisting in communicating the organization's mission, goals, and achievements effectively to stakeholders and the public, including through written materials, social media, and other channels.
• Providing support for community input and participation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives.
• Assisting in collecting feedback from community members to assess the effectiveness and impact of the organization's community engagement efforts.
• Supporting the documentation of community engagement activities, including attendance records, feedback forms, and other relevant data, and assisting in the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
