Mission Statement
At Camp Summer Garden we support the inclusion and participation of children with autism in developmentally appropriate educational and enrichment programs.
Description
In 2019, the program founder noticed a lack of summer camp programs tailored specifically to children with autism. Recognizing this need, she embarked on a mission to create a summer camp experience that would cater to the unique needs of children with autism. Drawing upon her passion for inclusivity, her education, work experience, and desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children with autism, she interviewed and surveyed families of children with autism to receive their input and worked to create a summer camp designed to meet the needs of their children. Camp Summer Garden was born out of this planning process. This year we look forward to welcoming 25 children into our program.
