At ZGiRLS, we’re on a mission to change the world by empowering girls to develop unshakable inner strength. We do this by equipping girls aged 11-14 with the tools and perspectives they need to build self-worth, embrace challenges, and advocate for themselves.
As a volunteer ZGiRLS Program Facilitator, you will co-lead the transformative online ZGiRLS Confidence Program, a 4-week program that meets for one hour each week and fosters an online community of belonging and courage. You will guide participants through the ZGiRLS Curriculum™ alongside our inspirational ZGiRLS Mentors, who are professional or Olympic female athletes.
This unique volunteer role demands a passion for teaching, a knack for engaging discussions, and a commitment to empowering the next generation with confidence and resilience.

Start Date: June 2024 OR September 2024
Time Commitment:
- Mandatory 10-hour facilitator training (prior to leading any programs).
- Each program requires approximately ±10 hours of facilitation over 5 weeks (2 hours per week), including personal prep before each weekly session.
- Facilitators are expected to lead a minimum of 2 programs per year.
Term Length: 2 year minimum

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the online ZGiRLS Confidence Program via Zoom.
- Master and teach the ZGiRLS Curriculum™ in a compelling and interactive online environment.
- Co-facilitate sessions with ZGiRLS Mentors, bridging their stories with the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes.
- Uphold ZGiRLS values at all times while interacting with participants.
Support and Training: Volunteers will receive comprehensive online training and certification led by the Director of Programs to ensure readiness and confidence in delivering the ZGiRLS Curriculum™.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for empowering young women and cultivating community.
- Previous experience in teaching, coaching, counseling, or psychology, particularly with middle school-aged girls (virtual experience preferred).
- Strong conversational skills with a natural flair for engaging youth .
- Experience or demonstrated interest in mindset coaching, mental resilience training, or similar fields.
- Organized, reliable, and adept at handling challenging conversations.
- Comfortable with online communication platforms and webinar tools (we currently use Zoom).
- A background in sports or athletics is beneficial but not required.
- Must complete a background check.
