Position Overview: Talented Girls in Action (TGIA) is seeking a creative and passionate individual to join our team as a Social Media Content Creator Volunteer. The Social Media Content Creator will play a crucial role in developing compelling and engaging content for our social media platforms, highlighting the stories, achievements, and experiences of talented girls involved in TGIA programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Generate creative and visually appealing content for TGIA's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others, that showcases the talents, achievements, and experiences of talented girls participating in TGIA programs.

  2. Storytelling: Use storytelling techniques to craft compelling narratives that capture the essence of TGIA's mission and impact, resonate with our target audience, and inspire engagement and action.

  3. Visual Content Development: Create high-quality graphics, images, videos, and other multimedia assets to accompany social media posts and enhance their visual appeal and effectiveness.

  4. Content Calendar Management: Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and other team members to develop a content calendar outlining the schedule and themes for social media posts, ensuring consistency, variety, and alignment with organizational goals and messaging.

  5. Engagement and Interaction: Monitor social media channels regularly, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner, and actively engage with our audience to foster meaningful interactions and relationships.

  6. Promotion of Programs and Events: Support the promotion of TGIA's programs, workshops, events, and initiatives through social media channels, creating excitement and generating participation among our target audience.

  7. Feedback and Collaboration: Seek feedback from the TGIA team and community members on content ideas, strategies, and performance, and collaborate with other team members to continuously improve our social media content and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for empowering and uplifting talented girls and young women.
  • Strong creativity and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop engaging and relatable content for social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie) preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to convey messages effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content creation, engagement, and growth.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Talented Girls In Action is a 501(c) nonprofit organization that exist to advance the next generation of young girls to operate at a standard of excellence in every aspect of their lives, by unlocking their unique potential as well as forming a life long passion for education. TGIA will incorporate discipline, integrity and acts of service into the curriculum to assist girls as they matriculate into the next chapter of their lives.

Description

Talented Girls In Action is an after school program that exist to advance the next generation of young girls through a multifaceted curriculum, mentor-ship, individualized tutoring and enrichment opportunities.

We serve girls from the ages of 12 to 18 that come from disadvantage backgrounds. Our main initiative to encourage girls to come into confident possession of their own unique talents by transforming their underprivileged mindset and providing a new outlook into their academic future.

Many young girls are dealing with very challenging socio-economic issues that inhibit them from finding positive outlets for their time and energy.

Through TGIA young girls will be able to discuss their problems in a safe and nurturing environment where viable solution are provided for them to pursue. All the while developing a positive outlook for their futures and their self image.
