Cooking Matters is a program that provides resources to encourage healthy, affordable meals. We need volunteers to help this program in the form of class assistant and a chef or culinary instructor! Please see below for more information about the class assistant role.
Assistants are key to ensure programming runs smoothly and that families receive the best educational experience possible. You will help with set-up, clean-up, including sanitizing surfaces, setting out equipment and ingredients, assembling take-home bags for each household, washing dishes throughout class, assisting with paperwork, helping monitor for food and knife safety, and supporting nutrition activities.

- Must be at least 16
- Orientation or Training
- Each shift runs 2 to 3 hours. Most are during the week and held midday, but 3 in June are offered at 4:30m for the last three Wednesdays of the month.
- Training for the class assistant will be given day of once you have arrived and met our staff.
