Change the lives of young women by becoming a mentor!

A Libera mentor is asked to co-lead at least 1 Libera group per calendar year, and/or provide 1:1 mentorship with a young woman who needs more support. Libera groups are held weekly in public schools, shelters, libraries, group foster homes, and online. Groups generally run 1 hour per week for 6-8 weeks.

Description

We meet girls where they are with the connection, resources, and skills they need -- and it all starts with listening. We provide Libera Peer groups, mentorship 1:1 mentorship, success planning, and a social enterprise program that employs and empowers youth.

  • We ask that mentors have at least one free hour per week to lead groups or mentor a young woman. Mentors need to go through their own Libera group and training prior to being placed.
  • Libera mentors are people who: are empathetic listeners, have at least 1 free hour per week, loves all people, passionate about helping girls/young women achieve their dreams, and are consistent friends/advocates.
