Film lovers are invited to join our pre-screening team and help select films for our international Academy qualifying film festival! Groups are welcomed! You will view and pre-screen 25-30 films virtual and help decide which films are judged by a professional juror. You will have three weeks to watch and judge the films. The selection of films are mostly shorts.

We're looking for individuals who love storytelling in all forms and who care passionately about filmmaking as an art. This is a fun opportunity and you will receive two festival passes to our fall film festival, plus a small gift.

Mission Statement

African Voices Communications, Inc is a non-profit arts organization devoted to supporting art, literature and film by artists of color.

Description

Founded in 1992, the organization publishes a national literary magazine and sponors community programs for emerging artists including literary readings, writers conferences and workshops, a film festival for women of color and other events. African Voices runs the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series and Get Your Read On!, an arts literacy program for young people in low income communities.
