Community Education & Advocacy Coordinators are a hybrid virtual / hands on role! This role handles a wide variety of tasks to coordinate and lead monthly shelter volunteer events. These Coordinators also assist with programs for public education, ongoing funds and youth volunteers. CEA Coordinators typically volunteer 10 hours +/- per week.

Mission Statement

The Happy Pet Project is the inaugural project of Texas Good Deeds Project.​ We share the same guiding values and culture in order to achieve our lifesaving mission. ​ The mission of The Happy Pet Project is to partner with local municipal shelters to end the overpopulation of companion animals in Texas through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption, while educating people about responsible pet ownership, animal advocacy, and topics related to animal welfare. The vision of The Happy Pet Project is a world without homeless animals where animal welfare organizations can work with one another and with community pet owners to increase the health, happiness, and fulfillment of pets, their owners, and animal welfare workers and volunteers.

The Happy Pet Project is a foster-based, ALL-breed rescue on a mission to END the overpopulation of companion animals.

We believe that every person can make a difference and every effort creates a ripple of good.

The vision of The Happy Pet Project is a world without homeless animals where animal welfare organizations can work with one another and with community pet owners to increase the health, happiness, and fulfillment of pets, their owners, and animal welfare workers and volunteers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • We ask coordinators to dedicate 10 +/- hours per week. The hours will vary week to week. You will have a fully supported onboarding process.
  • All communication takes place within Microsoft Teams. You must be able to access and utilize the app. You will have support in how to access and use.
