Help older adults develop their skills and confidence using technology through our Connections classes. Volunteer computer coaches serve as instructors, classroom assistants or one-on-one lab coaches. We are looking for people with plenty of enthusiasm and patience, along with a good working knowledge of computers, tablets or smart phones.
All teaching materials are provided and are designed specifically for adult learners. Classes cover a variety of topics, such as Windows, iPads, iPhones, Facebook, connecting to WiFi and staying safe online.

A pioneer in healthy aging for 40 years, Oasis has helped thousands of older adults across the country satisfy
their curiosity, take charge of their health and discover the joy of giving back to their communities.
Oasis programs reach a broad audience in more than 200 communities through nine education centers and a
national network of over 800 partners in 33 states. Since 1982 Oasis has served over 587,000 older adults.
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Oasis launched an interactive online platform that allows participants to
take an Oasis class from anywhere through Oasis Everywhere.

- Time commitment varies depending on number of classes taught. Each class takes about 2 hours of prep time and 2 hours to teach. Instructors also have the opportunity to develop new classes if they would like and the time commitment fort that varies.
