The Lovepost is an online platform dedicated to promoting positivity, social justice and environmental sustainability. We believe in the power of storytelling to inspire change and create a more compassionate world.

We are seeking two talented and passionate Managing Editors to join our team. One Managing Editor will focus on leading our thematic content strategy, while the other will oversee the development and execution of section-based content. Both roles require strong editorial leadership, a commitment to amplifying diverse voices and a passion for driving meaningful impact through storytelling.

As a Managing Editor, you will play a key role in shaping our editorial direction and ensuring the quality and integrity of our content.

Responsibilities


- Lead and mentor a team of editors, writers and contributors providing guidance, feedback and support to help them thrive.

- Manage the editorial calendar, assigning and prioritising tasks and coordinating deadlines to ensure timely delivery of content.

- Oversee the content creation process from ideation to publication, ensuring accuracy, relevance and adherence to editorial standards.

- Assist the Chief Editor with editorial tasks wherever required.

- Contribute to the development of editorial policies, guidelines and standards in collaboration with the Chief Editor.

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

- A good understanding of social justice issues, environmental sustainability and intersectional advocacy.

- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.

- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing platforms is a plus but not a must!

- Passion for The Lovepost's mission and vision, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact through storytelling.
