Senior Companionship for Hospice Patients

ORGANIZATION: Harbor Hospice of Gulf Coast

Profile HH Logo

We are Harbor Hospice, and we care for people that have a diagnosis of 6 months or less to live if the disease runs its normal course. We are seeking volunteers who love to visit and help people. Some patients don't have any family locally and live alone. Some love to talk and share their stories and want someone to listen and provide them companionship. Some families need help with short-term respite, where you stay with the patient and allow the caregiver to run quick errands or to allow them some much-needed personal time from day-to-day caregiving duties. We have patients that live at home, nursing homes, assisted living, and senior living all over the coastal bend. Rockport, Aransas Pass, Portland, Ingleside, and Corpus Christi. If you are at all interested, please call me and we can discuss all of your concerns before you make a decision. My name is Lisa Hollan, Volunteer Coordinator and my work cell (361) 230-0994. I look forward to working with you! :)
