Join us at Ethos and make a difference in the lives of seniors in Boston! Our community has over 40 cafes where seniors gather for nutrition and companionship. As a Nutrition Café Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing their experience.

Tasks Include:

Socializing with Seniors: Engage in friendly conversations and provide companionship to our senior guests.

Setting-up/Cleaning-up: Help with the setup and cleanup of the café area to ensure a welcoming and tidy environment for all.

Assisting with Serving Meals: Support our staff in serving nutritious meals to seniors, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need.

Recording Attendance of Seniors: Assist in maintaining accurate records of attendance, helping us keep track of our community's engagement.

No prior experience is necessary - just a willingness to lend a helping hand and a warm smile. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a month, your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our seniors.

Description

Ethos is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1973 (as Southwest Boston Senior Services) for the purpose of serving the elderly and handicapped of Roslindale, West Roxbury, southern Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park and western Mattapan. The agency provides approximately 4,000 people per year with services such as: case management, protective services, homemaker/personal care, transportation, congregate and home delivered meals and volunteer opportunities.
