The American Red Cross continues Clara Barton’s legacy of caring for the wounded, ill and injured that she started on Civil War battlefields. Today, Red Cross volunteers serve in VA Hospitals across our nation and military medical facilities around the world; serving our active military, their families and our veterans.
You can help by volunteering at the Malmstrom Air Force Base Clinic! There are numerous volunteer activities both for those who want to provide a helping hand as well as those with special skills/professional licensure. Activities include:
- Providing assistance with tasks in a clinical setting.
- Supporting staff in a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities including special events.
- Enhancing the morale of patients.
- Serving as a hospital escort.
Qualifications:
This volunteer position takes place in-person at the Malmstrom Air Force Base Clinic; therefore, volunteers must meet hospital requirements, including:
- Department of Defense (DoD) ID
- Government background check
- TB test and up-to-date on vaccinations and immunizations
