The West End Museum is seeking several volunteers to be Greeters and Exhibit Attendants for the museum.
In these roles, volunteers will have the opportunity to actively engage with visitors, assist in museum operations, and contribute to the overall success of our exhibits. Volunteers may be involved in tasks such as guiding tours and assisting in operations of the museum as a greeter or docent.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about history, community, and education. A commitment of 6-12 hours per week is appreciated. We encourage volunteers to bring their unique skills and perspectives to enhance the museum experience. Join us in preserving the legacy of the West End and fostering a sense of community through the exploration of our shared history.
Key expectations include:
- Strong self-motivated work ethic, flexibility, and availability to commit at least 6 hrs/wk for a duration of at least 3 months.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a wide range
of people.
- Interest in history, Boston, urban cultures, built environments, etc.
Responsibilities Include
- Greet and assist visitors as they navigate the museum and Exhibits.

Age Strong is looking for volunteers to invest their unique talents in improving their community - You choose the amount of time you wish to serve. We currently have opportunities in:
-Visiting and assisting homebound and frail seniors.
-Supporting older adults ESL in conversation sessions, one on one, or in ESL classes.
-Assembling and distributing food at a local Food Pantry.
-Facilitating workshops on Opioid Education and Prevention & Money Smart for Older Adults.
-Museums & Hospitals
-Provides a welcoming and friendly environment to all City Hall visitors.
