Join us as a volunteer for our upcoming Mental Health Awareness Event, "Unboxed: Wellness Your Way"! This transformative event, hosted by Health Matters Clinic, aims to empower individuals to explore holistic wellness practices and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Leading Up to Event Day:

  1. Promotion and Outreach:

    • Distribute event flyers and posters in local communities, businesses, and organizations.
    • Share event information on social media platforms and community forums to raise awareness.
    • Assist in contacting local media outlets to promote the event.
  2. Logistics and Planning:

    • Assist with logistical preparations, such as organizing supplies, equipment, and materials for the event.
    • Help coordinate transportation arrangements for speakers, volunteers, and attendees if needed.
    • Support in securing necessary permits and permissions for the event venue.
  3. Participant Registration:

    • Assist with pre-event registration and RSVP tracking.
    • Help respond to inquiries and provide information to potential attendees.

On Event Day:

  1. Event Setup:

    • Assist with setting up event spaces, including registration areas, workshop rooms, and activity stations.
    • Arrange chairs, tables, signage, and other materials as needed.
    • Ensure event spaces are organized and visually appealing for attendees.
  2. Participant Welcome and Support:

    • Greet and welcome attendees as they arrive at the event.
    • Provide assistance with participant registration, check-in, and distribution of event materials.
    • Offer guidance and answer questions about event activities, schedules, and facilities.
  3. Workshop and Activity Facilitation:

    • Support workshop presenters and activity leaders in setting up their sessions.
    • Assist with managing workshop attendance, distributing materials, and facilitating group discussions if needed.
    • Ensure workshops and activities run smoothly and on schedule.
  4. Event Assistance:

    • Provide general event assistance, such as directing attendees to restrooms, refreshments, or first aid stations.
    • Offer support to event speakers, presenters, and performers as needed.
    • Help troubleshoot any logistical or technical issues that may arise during the event.
  5. Event Cleanup:

    • Assist with post-event cleanup and breakdown of event spaces.
    • Collect and organize event materials, equipment, and supplies for storage or disposal.
    • Ensure the event venue is left clean and orderly after the conclusion of the event.

Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to assigned shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Previous event volunteering or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
  • Volunteers must be enthusiastic about mental health advocacy and community engagement.
