You can involve classmates, colleagues and others in this role and make this a group volunteering opportunity!

We would love to have fun, short videos promote shopping at our ReStore, donating to our ReStore, volunteering at our ReStore or volunteering at construction or home repair sites with West Tuality Habitat. When we say short, we mean videos that would be good for Instagram, Facebook Reels and maybe even TikTok.

Do you have a smart phone that can shoot video? Do you know how to edit videos, adding in copyright-free music and special effects like fading in and out or titles? Do you have video-editing software? And are you feeling creative? Do you have some videos you could show us that give us an idea of your abilities? Then this could be perfect for you!

If you have said yes to these questions, have a look at some Habitat for Humanity and ReStore Instagram and Tik Tok channels, to get an idea of what others out there are doing. And if you have some ideas, then let's meet! There are Habitat and ReStore affiliates all over the USA and we would love to videos like so many of them are doing!

The vision of West Tuality Habitat for Humanity is a community where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities and is a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. The ReStore plays a CRITICAL role in funding our home building and home repair programs. The ReStore is one of our primary fundraising tools, as well a vital community outreach tool.

We are happy to sign off on any paperwork if you undertake this volunteering role for a class or if you want to do this for assigned community service. This would also make a great class project.

The Habitat for Humanity vision is a community where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. We do Critical Home Repairs for for our neighbors who are disabled, veterans, elderly, or have low or fixed-incomes and we build affordable housing units alongside the future homeowners. The Forest Grove ReStore is a critical fundraising tool for all of the housing programs of West Tuality Habitat for Humanity.

We are right on TriMet Line 57!

We already involve volunteers in most aspects of our house-building and home repairs (and you are welcomed to participate in that too!) - but we want the community involved and invested even more in what we do, and a way to do that is involving more volunteers. In addition, we want to keep as much of our finances as possible into those home-building and home repair activities, to support vulnerable families in Western Washington County, Oregon. During service, volunteers are representatives of Habitat for Humanity and our mission. In addition to complying with all laws, regulations and Habitat for Humanity policies, all volunteers are expected to follow Habitat’s Code of Conduct.
