Hotline Volunteers are virtual to connecting the community with services and resources available at Defy and Sarp.
We have flexible shifts throughout the week for volunteers looking to be an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our hotline volunteers provide emotional support, support survivors in crisis, provide resources, and assist clients as needed.
Every volunteer can expect:
- Hands-on training
- Support from volunteer coordinator and staff
- Indoor volunteer location
3 Shifts
- morning / 08:00 AM to 11:45 AM CST
- afternoon / 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM CST

evening /
05:00 PM to 08:00 PM CST
4pm - 8pm

Description
Our center provides services such as:
-a 24 hour crisis, response, information and referral line. 365 days a year (608) 365-1119
-Emer gency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children
- Legal advocacy
-Support groups
-Safety, housing and financial planning for victims
-Children's Services
- Hispanic and other minority domestic violence outreach services
-Community Education and advocacy on behalf of a violence free community
