Volunteers work under the guidance of experienced local professionals, providing crucial assistance in assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation processes.
A typical day of physiotherapy volunteer work in Nepal will begin at 09:00 AM and end around 02:00 PM, Sunday to Friday and depending on your placement work hours could vary. Depending on your skills, you will begin by shadowing your supervisor. You will begin assisting staff in their daily tasks.
You may observe as staff work with children to develop their fine motor skills, or you may be asked to help organize physical exercise sessions for special needs patients. Your tasks are dependent on your level of experience.
