One-Time Or Ongoing Opportunity To Support A Couple Facing ALS! (Brooklyn Center)

A 66-year-old man with ALS and his wife are seeking one or more volunteers for two different tasks:

  • One-time garage cleanup/organization (they think this would take 3-4 hours, which could be done in 1 visit or broken into multiple)
  • Weekly yard work for about 2 hours each time
They can be very flexible with scheduling: any day of the week works at any time of day. They do have 2 dogs.

We invite you to reach out if you are interested in either opportunity, or the same volunteer could do both things if their schedule allows. This opportunity is part of the ALS Association's Family Assistance Program:

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
