Join the team Cane River Creole National Historical Park! We are currently seeking motivated volunteers that want to be a part of a great team serving visitors at a beautiful and historic park. Volunteer work will be completed indoors, in the park visitor center, and outdoors, while roving the park. This position is focused on visitor services. Volunteers answer questions, provide brochures and information, assist with cash register sales, and support day-to-day operations in the park visitor center. Training and orientation will be provided. This position may require long periods of standing.
We are currently seeking volunteers for late September 2024 through early December 2024 but may be extended depending on volunteer interest. A minimum of 32 hours per week is required; a work week includes 8-hour shifts, 4 days a week.
There is No onsite housing. RV spaces can accommodate trailers or motorhomes up to 29 feet. RVs must be furnished by the volunteer; the park does not provide RVs or other housing accommodations. Full hook-ups are available (electricity, water, sewage and on-site laundry) Cell coverage is limited in the park.
Volunteers may be required to operate a government vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required for this position. Volunteers will wear a uniform which will be provided by the park.
