PBMTV is looking for volunteers to lead, manage, and inspire! We need self-starters who are passionate about music, art, and the magic of live performances!

About Us:
Public Broadcasting Music Television (PBMTV) provides an ongoing and commercial-free audio/video broadcast platform for artists from all cultures to virtually share their art to an international audience. The PBMTV platform is international community-driven programming that includes visual art, music, live stream events, education, comedy, drama, embodiment practices, healing workshops, experiential learning, and more. Our vast database of content is streamed around the world directly from live events, artists, DJs, performers, and other live-stream content providers.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Executive Director plays a crucial leadership role at PBMTV, responsible for overseeing our day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction. Core functions include:

  • Strategic Planning: Responsible for developing and implementing PBMTV's strategic plan. Work with the board of directors to set goals and objectives, and establish a roadmap for achieving those goals.
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership to the staff, volunteers, and often collaborate with the board of directors, including hiring, training, and managing staff, setting performance expectations, and fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Fundraising and Financial Management: Responsible for fundraising efforts, which can include grant writing, donor cultivation, and developing fundraising strategies. Manage the organization's budget, financial planning, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Oversee the design, development, and execution of programs and services that align with PBMTV’s mission, including assessing program effectiveness and making necessary improvements.
  • Community and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the public face of the organization, building and maintaining relationships with donors, partners, artists, and the community.
  • Advocacy and Public Relations: Advocate for PBMTV’s causes and raise awareness about critical issues. Handle media relations and public relations efforts.
  • Compliance and Legal Matters: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations is essential. The Executive Director needs to have a solid understanding of nonprofit law, tax-exempt status, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluation and Impact Assessment: Assess the effectiveness of PBMTV's programs and services by measuring outcomes and impact. This information helps in making data-driven decisions and improving the PBMTV's performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks and challenges that could impact the PBMTV's operations, financial stability, or reputation.
  • Long-Term Sustainability: Responsible for ensuring the long-term sustainability of PBMTV by developing and executing strategies for growth, diversifying funding sources, and managing resources efficiently.

PBMTV is a 24/7 online streaming internet television station dedicated to providing a stage for the arts in all its forms to be shared with the world. On August 1st, 2021, PBMTV launched its new membership-based streaming platform to open ourselves to a larger audience and more art related content. 40 years after the launch of MTV, PBMTV brings its new 24/7 streaming platform to the world. Gain access to our vast database of streaming content from our network of video streaming partners around the world directly from live events, artists, DJs, performers, and live-stream content providers through our Membership Program.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 32
  • 10-12 hours per week (average). With a sustainable program, fundraising efforts, and grants, this role will become a paid position.
  • SELF STARTER with the ability to lead, manage, inspire, and work independently with the support of PBMTV leadership. Working with the founder who has limited business experience. Seeking People with Real Business and/or Non-Profit Experience!
