Of the world’s 29 million refugees, nearly half are children. Seeking refuge in a new country is challenging no matter the circumstance, but seeking refuge as an unaccompanied minor comes with a unique set of challenges. Through CCS, unaccompanied refugee minors are placed in foster care homes and have the option to stay in the program until they turn 21. While in the program, a team of Family Consultants, Case Managers, and Transition to Adult Living Coaches work with foster families to help the youth reach their goals and prepare for long-term self-sufficiency.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to practice gospel values of love, compassion and hope through service, support and collaboration.

What began in 1945 as Catholic Charities in Utah with four full-time employees and 30 clients has grown to include over 150 staff members, serving over 29,000 clients annually. This year volunteers contributed 53,971 hours of service, and St. Vincent de Paul produced more than 440,696 meals. Catholic Community Services looks to a future of continuing to provide help and create hope for those in need, regardless of race or creed.
