Special Olympics New Jersey is looking for volunteers for Summer Games! Summer Games will be held at The College of New Jersey on June 7-9, 2024. We are excited to host 2,500 athletes competing in bocce, gymnastics, powerlifting, softball, swimming, tennis, and track & field. Orientation will be provided on-site so that volunteers are comfortable in their assigned roles.
Volunteers are needed in the following venues:
- Bocce - scorekeepers, timers, staging, awards, and court assistants.
- Gymnastics - venue set up.
- Softball - announcer, awards, general assistants, bench assistants, and scorekeepers.
- Swimming - awards, announcers, escorts, recorders/results runners, venue security, staging, and timing.
- Tennis - ball retrievers, general assistants, scorekeepers
- Track & Field - awards, escorts, field event volunteers, staging, and venue security.
- Support roles - opening ceremony assistants (Friday only), information station, souvenir sales, and venue support.
- Healthy Athletes - Healthy Athletes volunteers must be students or professionals in a related health field. Non-clinical roles are also available.

Special Olympics New Jersey provides sports training to athletes through local school, agency and community programs that compete on the Area (county), Regional and State levels in 24 sports throughout all four sports seasons.
