Guided by a virtual nurse on screen, these interactive sessions last between 20 to 40 minutes, providing patients with vital medication information. Volunteers play a pivotal role by physically transporting the monitor into patients' rooms, ensuring they have direct access to essential education.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Be the bridge between patients and cutting-edge healthcare technology by transporting the virtual nurse monitor into rooms.
  • Assist patients in navigating the session content and engaging with the virtual nurse.
  • Provide unwavering support throughout the session, ensuring all questions are answered and needs met.
  • Help patients complete post-session surveys and distribute educational materials as needed.

Lenox Hill is a not-for-profit 652-bed acute care teaching hospital located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Founded in 1857, the Hospital has long been a leader in many specialties such as cardiac care, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk neonatal care and pediatrics. The Hospital is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care, providing medical education and training, and enhancing the health and well-being of the community through public health education and community outreach programs.
