Volunteers can provide many services to assist patients and their families such as running errands, planning and prepping meals, helping them keep the home clean and orderly, companionship/emotional support, music therapy, pet therapy, providing cards/gifts for birthdays/holidays, making blankets, flower arrangements Those are just a few examples

Days and hours are 100% flexible, we will work around your availability and interests, volunteering doesn't always have to be direct contact with patients either, it can be helping out at the office or dropping things off to the office for patients

Opportunities available in several areas:
Lafayette, West Lafayette, Crawfordsville, Monticello, Logansport just to name a few

Must be 18 years or older
Must complete a background check

We specifically focus on the person not just the illness. Our holistic approach encompasses medical, emotional and spiritual care throughout the stages of life-limiting illness. Our desire is to ensure our patients live out their remaining days in comfort and peace, wherever they call home - their own residence, a family members home, an assisted living facility, a skilled nursing facility or hospital - all the while retaining their dignity.

Description

We are able to offer caregivers some relief from the burdens they experience. Knowing our skilled staff will focus on their loved one's symptoms and pain control to give them the best quality of life each day allows the family to experience peace of mind. A registered nurse is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist with any needs after regular office hours, on weekends, and holidays.
