York County Senior Centers need volunteers to help deliver and prepare Home Delivered Meals. Meals are currently delivered one day per week on Mondays. In Fall 2024 volunteers will be needed to deliver Mon. Wed. and Fri. The time commitment is flexible from one 4 hour shift per month to multiple 4 hour shifts per month. Drivers are assigned a designated route for delivery. Delivery Drivers check in face-to-face with the older adults at the time of the meal deliveries. Kitchen help is also needed by several centers. Volunteers must possess a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. A criminal background check is required. Interested volunteers can contact the York County Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Coordinator Stephanie Hankey at 717-771-9610 extension 1042 or via email at Aging@YorkCountyPA.gov.

The York County Area Agency on Aging was established in May of 1975 to plan, coordinate, and provide services to York County residents who are age 60 and over. The Agency's purpose is to offer appropriate, supportive services to enable York County's aging population to maintain their independence in their home as long as possible.
