Mission Statement
Our Mission We are on a mission to advocate on behalf of homeless veterans with the ultimate goal to end Veteran homelessness and assist them with support services such as health care, mental health and substance-use counseling/treatment to help them in their recovery process and with their ability to maintain housing in the community. The housing first approach is key for our veterans becoming a productive part of the community, AGAIN!
Description
Prior to starting SOVC non-profit in 2022, we housed homeless veterans starting in 2018 in Columbus, Ohio using the HUD/VASH Program through the VA.
SOVC's "No Veteran Left Behind Community Project" will fill a critical gap in the continuum of care for our homeless veterans. A sense of responsibility for our veterans and community reflects how we will build these homes. It is from this nurturing foundation that healthy, sustainable communities are not just possible, but are able to thrive as well. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
