Recruiting Organization: Six Feet Films Foundation

We're seeking a passionate Social Media and Content Creator Volunteer to help amplify underrepresented voices and drive positive social change through our online platforms. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in curating, creating, and managing compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, sparks meaningful conversations, and empowers marginalized communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute an inclusive social media strategy that celebrates diversity, fosters belonging, and amplifies voices that are often unheard.
  2. Craft visually captivating and thought-provoking content (graphics, videos, written posts) that challenges societal norms, promotes social justice, and inspires action.
  3. Collaborate with our team to conceptualize and produce original films, digital series, and multimedia projects that shed light on critical social issues and bring people together through shared experiences.
  4. Engage with our online community, respond to comments and messages with empathy, and cultivate a safe and supportive digital space for open dialogue.
  5. Monitor social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to continuously optimize our content's reach and impact.
  6. Analyze social media metrics and gather community feedback to iterate and improve our content strategy and messaging.
  7. Stay informed about current events, social movements, and cultural shifts to ensure our content remains relevant, authentic, and impactful.

Requirements:

  1. A deep understanding of social media platforms and as well as a passion for leveraging these platforms as tools for positive change.
  2. Excellent graphic design skills with proficiency in modern design tools like Canva, Midjourney.
  3. Experience in creating visually compelling and emotionally resonant content that sparks conversations and inspires action.
  4. Strong storytelling abilities and a knack for crafting narratives that celebrate diversity, challenge stereotypes, and foster empathy.
  5. Familiarity with video production and editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to respectful and inclusive language.
  7. A genuine passion for social justice, diversity, and inclusion, and a desire to use your skills to uplift marginalized voices and drive positive change.
  8. A quick learner, able to adapt to new design tools and techniques as needed.
