As a Volunteer Intern, you will play a crucial role in managing our Women Empowering Women website, the digital hub where our mission comes to life. Your responsibilities will include updating website content, ensuring its relevance and accuracy, and optimizing its functionality to enhance user experience.

Key duties:
1. Content Management: Create and update website content, including articles, blog posts, event listings, and resource materials, to reflect the latest information and initiatives of Women Empowering Women Inc.
2. Website Maintenance: Regularly review and maintain website functionality, ensuring smooth navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness across different devices and platforms.
3. Multimedia Integration: Collaborate with our team to incorporate multimedia elements such as images, videos, and interactive features to enrich the user experience and effectively communicate our message.
4. Community Engagement: Foster engagement and interaction among website visitors through forums, comment sections, and social media integration, creating a vibrant online community of empowered women.
5. Analytics and Optimization: Utilize web analytics tools to track website performance, gather insights into user behavior, and identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance site traffic and engagement.

Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a relevant academic program, seeking credit hours for internship experience.
- Passionate about women's empowerment and committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
- Proficiency in website management platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, or Wix, with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
- Basic understanding of web design principles, SEO best practices, and digital marketing strategies is preferred but not required.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative mindset and a willingness to work closely with team members to achieve shared goals.

Our mission is to increase confidence, provide support and the necessary tools for continued growth and personal development in all women.

Description

We are a non-profit 501c3 whose goal is to educate, empower and encourage all women and this is accomplished by providing free monthly masterclasses (January - July), a scholarship opportunity for a non-traditional student ( 30 years old or older) and quarterly virtual cafe meet- ups.

We also like to support our local female entrepreneurs by spotlighting a business each month.
