Research has shown that music has a profound effect on our well-being. Hospice patients are no exception. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with terminal illness while creating a center of excellence in hospice care.

As a Music Companion Volunteer you will partner with our Music Therapist or other support team member to provide music that brings enjoyment, perhaps a positive well-being and much life enrichment. The ideal volunteer should enjoy singing, playing an instrument, or sharing recorded music with others.

Hospice volunteers experience a great deal of satisfaction from their service and with the patients they visit. AccentCare matches our volunteer with patients who live close to their home and surrounding area. We always work around personal and professional schedules

Many patients and families are forever changed by their hospice volunteer. Comprehensive hospice training and orientation is provided, free of charge, as well as ongoing support and hospice education opportunities.
