About Us: Maternal and Infant Health Canada (MIHCan) is a global public health collaborative that works to improve the lives of women, their young and the environment through education, research and innovation. Our founder and lead, Dr. Farah Shroff, is a Takemi Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health. We have a new unpaid, volunteer opportunity that may be of interest:

Role Description: Social Media Volunteer

As a social media volunteer at MIHCan, you will:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with MIHCan's mission and goals.
  • Create engaging content to promote our initiatives and interact with our audience.
  • Manage and maintain MIHCan's presence on various social media platforms.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with our followers to cultivate a vibrant online community.

Description

MIHCan is based out of UBC with partners across the globe that are researchers, clinicians, practitioners, university professors, and students. We are all passionately involved in health sciences, social sciences, conservation and other disciplines. We meet regularly via Zoom to discuss our progress on latest projects including research, social media campaigns, and sexual health and STM. Volunteers are asked to commit five hours per week for one year.
