Recruiting Organization: STEM Montessori Academy of Canada

Are you interested in a position where the goal is to spread awareness of STEM specialized education? We are searching for a volunteer Community Outreach team member to help existing, potential and new clients learn more about what we as an organization have to offer students and families in North America.

The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is a national STEM program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

*Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:


- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR

- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR

- Wednesday noon Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes


**Only ONE of these times listed above needs to work with your schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

● Form community partnerships

● Spread awareness of our programs and online initiatives

● Providing program information to prospective students, their families, and professionals in the field

● Connect with local schools and universities


Requirements:

● A strong understanding of STEM education and its benefits to young people

● Ability to attend online Zoom meetings

● Excellent communication and people skills
