A 64-year-old man with ALS would love a volunteer to help him with a variety of outdoor tasks this spring/summer: these include trimming his peony bushes, picking up leaves, and mowing the lawn. Scheduling can be flexible!

If you'd like to combine getting outside and soaking up some sun with helping a neighbor in need, we'd love to hear from you! This opportunity is part of the ALS Association's Family Assistance Program:

Description

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
